About Me

Originally from Nova Scotia, Josh has made his home in Texas for over a decade. His own music can be heard on Armored Records, and he has performed with Stockton Helbing's Quintet, TXJQ, The Maniacal 4, Michael League and other legends like Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Betty Buckley, Jimmy Cobb, Ernie Watts, Doc Severinsen, and many more.

When not making music with his talented wife Michelle, he can be found teaching Music Business and Technology at Tarleton State University in Stephenville Texas.

His new album “The Baytree Sessions, Vol. 1” will be released 3/15/16

My Jazz Story

The best show I ever attended was Esbjorn Svensson Trio at IAJE in New York City. Even hearing them with the tired ears that come with attending a multiple-day jazz conference, the dynamic writing and incendiary performance left an indelible mark on me. I still can't believe he is gone.
