Northern Expo 2024

That three logistically complicated days in this European Capital of Culture 2024 passed without a single hitch is testament to the meticulous planning, preparation and management behind Northern Expo 2024. As hosts they were gracious and helpful to a fault, something that was generally true of all the Norwegians encountered in this beautiful part of the world. A special word of recognition should be reserved for all the sound, lighting and stage technicians, who made each performance look and sound impeccable.

It is to be hoped that the professionals invited to Bodö will help promote all the participating artists in whatever way they can. Certainly, it would be a surprise if these artists did not find their diaries that much fuller in the months and years to come.

Where will Northern Expo go from here? Like most things in life there is no guarantee that another go-round is a nailed-on certainty. However, after two memorable editions, it feels like Northern Expo's mission to promote the music and culture of Northern Norway is really only just starting.
